Education is the key to alleviation of poverty and misery. As the saying goes… “If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. If you teach him to fish, you feed him for lifetime.”

The aim of WMO Pakistan Chapter is to make sure that every single member of the Memon community is educated. For this purpose, a giant project has been started at the WMO Pakistan Chapter in the name of “EDUCATION FOR ALL”.

Under the EDUCATION FOR ALL Scheme, about 7,500 school-going students (up to Intermediate Level) are given financial aid. A quarterly cheque is sent to each of the 700 schools to pay the fees for the numerous Memon children studying there.

We have many kinds of categories in the EDUCATION FOR ALL Scheme. The first is where each child is paid Rs.18,000/- (US $200) per annum to cover much of the tuition fees incurred per annum.

The second category consists of those students who are studying in Intermediate Leve are given up to Rs. 30,000/- (US $ 335) wherea Students of Cambridge Level are given up to Rs.50,000/-. (US $550).

The third category is for the Special Children where financial aid for education is granted up to Rs. 75,000/- (US $835) per annum.

Many Educational Institutions and Memon Jamats are now 'Education Partners' with WMO Pakistan Chapter.

Educational Scholarships under this scheme include monthly tuition fees only. These scholarships are from Zakat Fund and are only for deserving students of the Memon community studying in KG to Intermediate.

Higher Education is the need of our Memon community. The concept is that even if one single young boy or girl from each Memon family pursues higher education, then the entire family will benefit. Better education will lead to a better career which will in turn will raise the standard of living of the whole family.

With this aim in mind, the Higher Education Committee of the World Memon Organisation, Pakistan Chapter, is striving to help the youth of the Memon community in Pakistan to acquire career-oriented graduate & post-graduate degrees and other professional qualification.

It is heartening to note that many of the leading educational institutions this country have graciously agreed to give concession in fees to our students for which we are grateful to them.

Needy and talented students of the Memon community, who would like to pursue POST-GRADUATE COURSES and PROFESSIONAL STUDIES in Engineering, Medicine, Accountancy, Business Administration and other such fields in institutions recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) are requested to please contact the World Memon Organisation, Karachi for further details and Application Form.
